PRESIDENT & CEO, PENN-FLORIDA COS., BOCA RATON

Penn-Florida owns some of Boca’s premier real estate, including the Via Mizner mixed-use complex, which recently closed on $400 million in financing. Via Mizner will include a luxury rental tower and the Residences at Mandarin Oriental, a 12-story hotel and 85 one- to four-bedroom luxury condominiums priced from $1.8 million. A developer and owner, Gensheimer has said he chooses his company’s portfolio by seeking out luxury hospitality, residential and mixed-use properties in Palm Beach County and Port St. Lucie. Gensheimer founded Penn-Florida in 1987 with a background in development, capitalization, acquisition and disposition.

In addition to existing projects, he has numerous parcels of vacant property in Florida.
