Michael Lawrence brings a comprehensive background of more than 30 years of leadership with private equity clubs and destination resorts, hotels and restaurants. His assignments have included The Boca Raton Resort & Club, Boca Resorts, Inc., Berkeley Hall Club (Hilton Head), Colonial Country Club (Fort Worth), Woods Hole Golf Club (Cape Cod), and the Hyatt Regency, Long Island. He has served in corporate positions at three international hospitality groups – ClubCorp, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, and Boca Resorts, Inc.

Lawrence served a critical role in developing teams and management talent for 125 private clubs within ClubCorp, 32 full-service Marriott Hotels within Interstate Hotels & Resorts, and the 12 independently branded resorts and clubs within Boca Resorts, Inc., including operational roles for Boca Resorts properties in Boca Raton, Naples and Fort Lauderdale; Phoenix, Arizona; Lanai’i, Hawaii; Hertfordshire, England; the U.S. Virgin Islands; and the British Virgin Islands.

Lawrence has a comprehensive understanding of private equity club management, brand development and marketing, and has built management and service teams that consistently deliver benchmark programs and membership value.

He earned a B.S. (Biochemistry) at the University of South Alabama, a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, and Master of Professional Studies in Hospitality Management from Boca Raton’s Lynn University. Lawrence is also a Florida Licensed Community Association Manager (CAM).
